Sorry athletes. It’s hard to compete with a well-tailored medical professional.

Figs’s patriotic Olympics scrubs remind us that doctors are the real heroes

While brands like Nike plan to dominate the Olympics with blinding new shoes on the track, Figs wants to own the sidelines through sleek medical scrubs. The medical apparel brand company just debuted a new line of red, white, and blue uniforms that Team USA doctors will wear in Paris—and in a dramatic, slow-mo walk scene, our medical professionals will finally get the full hero treatment.

The new kits—can we call them Olympic kits?—debuted as Figs announced an agreement to outfit Team USA Olympics and Paralympic doctors in the Paris 2024 and LA 2028 games. Figs is known for making a more flattering medical scrub with modern cuts, and for the Games, they’re introducing new silhouettes, including jumpers and high-collared jackets, in flag-inspired colorways. I’m getting strong Ralph Lauren vibes—and I do not mind that one bit.
