Florian Bachleda is the Creative Director of Fast Company Media. Previously, he was the Creative Director of FB Design, whose clients included Time Inc., Condé Nast, Hearst, and Latina among others. He was also Design Director of Vibe, and worked at New York magazine, Entertainment Weekly and the Village Voice.
Since joining Fast Company in November 2010, the magazine has won 3 Gold Medals (including the 2011 Gold Medal for Best Redesign) and 2 Silver Medals from the Society of Publication Designers, and was nominated for both their 2012 Magazine of the Year and 2012 Tablet App of the Year.
Bachleda and his teams have won awards from the Society of Publication Designers, American Illustration, American Photography, Print magazine and Communication Arts, among others. He has taught at the School of Visual Arts and has chaired and juried numerous design, photography and illustration competitions. He has served as President of the Society of Publication Designers and was on its Board of Directors for five years.
