Nathan Fielder can currently be seen as the writer, director, and star of his hit Comedy Central series Nathan for You, which was recently picked up for a third season. In the series, which critics have called “ridiculously hilarious” and “insanely brilliant,” self-proclaimed business expert Nathan Fielder helps real small businesses turn a profit with marketing tactics that no ordinary consultant would dare to attempt. From persuading a pet store to market at a pet cemetery by advertising on a gravestone to finding a legal way to appropriate the trademark of one of the world’s biggest brands to open a coffee shop called Dumb Starbucks, Fielder goes as far as it takes to make his ideas come to life. But with his unorthodox approach to problem solving, Fielder’s genuine efforts to do good often draw real people into an experience far beyond what they signed up for.
Hailing from Canada, Fielder has also written and performed on the Comedy Central series Jon Benjamin Has a Van and Important Things With Demetri Martin and is also known for his online shorts and weekly segments on the acclaimed CBC comedy series This Hour Has 22 Minutes. For his work on 22 Minutes, Fielder received a Canadian Comedy Award, a Writer’s Guild Award, and was nominated for a Gemini. In July 2014, Nathan received the Breakout Comedy Star of the Year award at the 2014 Just for Laughs Comedy Awards.
