Lisa Seacat DeLuca is an inventor and a mobile software engineer. She is an IBM Master Inventor and the first woman in IBM history to have filed more than 370 patent applications in the areas of mobile, data, and cloud. At IBM, she specializes in hybrid mobile development, and is passionate about open technologies to streamline mobile growth: She was one of the first members of a small team working to deliver one of IBM's very first cloud computing offerings. Today DeLuca is focused on ways to integrate mobile with cloud, working with her team to contribute to open-source projects and provide early implementations and proof of concepts in the mobile computing space. DeLuca is also a TED speaker and an author, having published a children's book teaching kids how to count to 10 in binary with funding through Kickstarter.
