Leah Culver is a web and mobile developer who is most recently known as the cofounder and chief technology officer of the podcast app Breaker. As somewhat of a web-design veteran, Culver's influence can be seen across many of the digital tools we use today. She's an author of the open-standard authentication OAuth 1.0 and OEmbed, the latter of which is supported by the likes of Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube, and she also co-created Hurl, an HTTP client for testing web APIs that was acquired by Twilio. Culver started Breaker in 2016 to create a better podcast-listening experience, solving pain points such as playlist creation with simple design and navigation. In 2018, Breaker launched Upstream, the first tool that allows podcasters to sell premium content directly to their listeners.
