Falon Fatemi is the CEO and founder of Node, a startup that uses AI and machine learning to index the web, creating a giant network of how people, companies, and products are related to each other. Then the company provides businesses with recommendations about who it should be connecting with. It’s the next generation of search--making sense of the vast amount of data on the internet and only showing results you didn’t know about but that are actually relevant, to take your business to the next step.
Fatemi was hired by Google at age 19, becoming the company’s youngest employee ever. After six years at the company, she spent another six working in the startup space, where she found her talent for connecting people and companies. Upon analyzing the outcomes of connections she’d made between people and companies, Fatemi found that her uncanny ability to bring people together had led to millions of dollars in investment, acquisitions, hires, and even a merger. Node is her attempt to automate her skill as a connector and bring it to businesses at scale. To date, Node has generated over $103 million in customer revenue, mostly for clients in sales and marketing. The company has $16.3 million in venture funding from Mark Cuban, NEA, and Avalon Ventures.
