Ev Williams is the CEO and founder of blogging and media platform, Medium. Prior to founding the company, Williams and entrepreneur Meg Horihan founded project management company Pyra Labs, where the concept for blogging platform Blogger was first developed. In 2004, Williams left Pyra and Blogger (which were acquired by Google in 2003) to launch podcasting company, Odeo, where he served as CEO until cofounding, alongside entrepreneurs Jack Dorsey, Biz Stone, and Noah Glass, social media startup Twitter. Though he stepped down as CEO in 2010, Williams continues to serve as a board member. In addition to his work at Medium, Williams is a cofounder at VC fund Obvious Ventures.
