
After studying animation at RISD, Collins developed and ran a program at the Children's Museum of the Arts, called GirlStories, to promote women leaders in film, comics, and animation. In 2015, she joined with Jess Peterson and Michaela Olsen to found Mighty Oak, an animation studio that uses cut paper, clay, puppets, and elaborate miniature sets in animated ads for clients that have included Etsy, Airbnb, and Netflix.
