Dan Barasch

Cofounder & Executive Director, The Lowline

Dan Barasch is head of community engagement, fundraising, strategic planning, and political outreach for what will be the world’s first underground park, the Lowline in New York City. This urban oasis will take shape inside an abandoned trolley terminal in the city’s Lower East Side. The Lowline conjures up comparisons to another creative and much beloved public space, the High Line, which lives on what once were elevated train tracks in Manhattan.

Previously, Barasch served as vice president at PopTech and industry marketing manager and senior operations manager at Google. He worked with the Department of Small Business Services' Workforce Investment Board to develop strategies to reduce unemployment in New York City.
