Amy Pascal is an entertainment executive and the former chairman of Sony Pictures Entertainment. She left that post in 2015 amidst fallout from the Sony Pictures email hack scandal in November 2014 that exposed embarrassing transmissions from top executives at the network. A seasoned executive, Pascal has an uncanny knack for predicting the next big thing. To wit: Pascal gambled $60 million on Michael Jackson's raw rehearsal footage shortly after his death, and turned it into $260 million in box office receipts. She's green-lighted films--including the Spider-Man franchise, Zero Dark Thirty, and Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, that have helped the studio hit new box office records. Under her leadership, 89 Sony Pictures movies hit #1 at the domestic box office, more than any other studio. Under her co-chairmanship of Sony Pictures Entertainment, that network's hits included The Dr. Oz Show, Breaking Bad, Masters of Sex, and Shark Tank.
