For leading a millennial girl gang
Alex Wolf is the founder and chairman of Bossbabe Inc., a members-only online community for millennial women looking to build their own online businesses. At 19, Wolf dropped out of community college in Berkeley, CA, and parlayed her Internet obsession into a job as a self-taught social media coach. She quickly began making $100 an hour helping others build their online brands. In late 2014, she launched the Bossbabe Academy to share her entrepreneurial learnings with other women looking to eschew the debt and time commitment of a four-year degree in favor of financial independence. Aside from a community of like-minded businesswomen, for $10 a month Bossbabe offers its users online master classes and a massive database of materials curated by Wolf and her team. Bossbabe now boasts a social media following close to a quarter of a million people, and a subscriber base that reportedly grows by 30% every month. With her next venture, Project Think, Wolf intends to coach big brands on speaking "millennial" without sounding like tone-deaf outsiders.
