Alex Chung is the founder and CEO of Giphy. His goal is to transform Giphy from a GIF search engine into a central part of the way that content creators from movie studios to celebrities to politicians communicate on social and mobile platforms. He's a serial entrepreneur whose other startups include contemporary art ecommerce site Artspace, private social network The Fridge, and HDTV maker General Displays. He started his career as a hardware engineer at Intel, and before launching Giphy, he directed future technologies for companies like MTV and Comcast, among others, and was one of the early architects of interactive television.
