Ai-jen Poo is the director of the National Domestic Workers Alliance and the co-director of the Caring Across Generations Campaign. As an activist, Poo is passionate about immigrant women workers and improving access to care for the elderly. In 2000, she cofounded an organization of domestic workers called Domestic Workers United, which led to the passing of the U.S. Domestic Workers Bill of Rights in 2010. NDWA is a leader in working for fair labor standards on behalf of the 2.5 million nannies, housekeepers, and elder caregivers in the U.S. In 2014, Poo was awarded a MacArthur Foundation fellowship, and she is also a 2013 World Economic Forum Young Global Leader.
