Zendrive uses the sensors in a phone to manage driving behavior. The Zendrive mobile tech, once on a driver's phone, lets commercial fleet managers at places like Uber and Lyft document and improve how their drivers behave behind the wheel. How often do they go the speed limit? How often do they text while driving? Once enough information is tallied, the tech analyzes the driving behavior and makes predictions in order to help prevent future collisions. In 2018, the company hit more than 75 billion miles of driving data, helping to further refine its algorithm. The company says that the bottom 25% of drivers account for over half of commercial collisions. Fleets that use its product reduced the potential for collision among their worst drivers by as much as 49% within the first 250 days of use. Zendrive is now looking to work with additional insurance companies to help reduce rates for drivers and fleets.
