WXY Architecture + Urban Design

WXY is a small New York architecture firm that specializes in innovative solutions to complex urban design challenges. Founded by Claire Weisz and Mark Yoes in 1998 (and originally called Weisz + Yoes), WXY has created master plans for major economic initiatives, like the Brooklyn Tech Triangle, which has seen tech-sector employment grow 57% since the plan was unveiled nearly a decade ago, and the Brooklyn Navy Yard, which is set to offer vertical manufacturing services to 30,000 workers by 2030. WXY has also overseen the design of climate change-resistant landscapes, including the 4.5-mile long East River Blueway and the 8-mile-long Rockaway Boardwalk, both in New York. Other notable projects including transforming a former juvenile detention center into affordable housing, converting an old shipbuilding facility into a coworking space, and developing electric vehicle car-sharing concepts for the New York region.
