The Players’ Tribune's mission is to connect athletes with fans through powerful storytelling. 

In 2018, the company made news and led the conversation on several important issues with compelling narratives from the athlete's unfiltered perspective. NBA star Kevin Love made national headlines in discussing his mental-health issues in the wake of an in-game panic attack. Olympic gold medalist Aly Raisman and WNBA star Breanna Stewart were candid about sexual abuse they've personally experienced. Pau Gasol of the San Antonio Spurs advocated for women NBA coaches, in particular that Becky Hammon should be the league's first female head coach. 

The Players' Tribune has also brought its compelling style to audio and video and expanded globally, to Europe. The European version includes global superstars and translating their content into multiple languages. It also dovetails with its interest in video storytelling. The company now has more than 2,000 athlete contributors. Its video production team creates new opportunities to bring The Players' Tribune's confessional style to other distribution platforms in addition to its own.
