Israel-based Syte.ai envisions an entirely shoppable world, both online and off. With that mission in mind, it has developed algorithms that make fashion—no matter where it’s spotted—more easily available to find and buy. The Syte Inspire chatbot, available for both Facebook Messenger and Chrome, turns every aspect of the internet into a shoppable place, even if it’s an item of clothing not worn in a direct product advertisement. In late 2017, Syte.ai released a new product called Visual Search for All, which acts as a Shazam button for, well, everything. On sites (like Kohl’s or Marks & Spencer) that have integrated the tech into their searches, users can simply put in screenshots of products they’ve seen out in the world or on Instagram and have the site pull up similar or related products available for purchase.
