Perkins+Will is one of the largest architecture firms in the world, with 24 global offices and 2,000 employees. Its buildings include the National Museum of African American History and Culture and the Boeing International Headquarters in Chicago. The firm offers design services in architecture, urban design, planning, branded environments, landscape architecture, and interior design. In recent years, it has adopted sustainability as a guiding principle, and has approached projects as varied as a hospital in Ghana to a natural history museum in Shanghai to a park honoring emancipated slaves in Houston, with carbon reduction in mind. In 2016, Perkins+Will became a founding partner of Portico, a green materials database and decision-making tool developed by Google and the Healthy Building Network to bring transparency to the notoriously opaque design and construction industry. In 2017, it took on some of the loftier problems facing cities of the future, with a conceptual look at how Lyft might remake city streets. Perkins+Will’s annual revenue is an estimated $380 million.
