Participant Media is dedicated to creating entertainment that also inspires social change.

In 2018, Participant Media launched an aggressive social impact campaign for its documentary RBG, hosting screenings with everyone from the ACLU to the Bank of America to law firms. Dozens of organizations added speakers and panels to their screenings, exploring women’s rights and gender empowerment, including pro-bono work, corporate social responsibility, and community programs.

Participant also introduced its VR strategy, expanding its VR experience, Melting Ice (featuring Al Gore), into a four-part series titled, This is Climate Change, which adds "Famine," “Feast,” and “Fire” to its immersive experience to feel the effects of climate change.
