Neomatix

Neomatix launched its automated tire-monitoring system in late 2016. The algorithm-based technology uses ground-level sensors placed strategically in parking lots to measure the air pressure of tires as busses and trucks enter the site. Drivers can also take their car’s tire pressure simply by aiming a smartphone at each wheel. Neomatix’s system helps companies anticipate maintenance issues, reduces carbon emissions from vehicles, and increases fleets’ efficiency and safety by preventing tire blow-outs. The company estimates that wasted fuel, wear and tear, breakdowns, accidents, and maintenance—what it calls “tire negligence”—costs commercial fleets $100 billion annually.
