The ice cream and candy-themed interactive exhibit was founded by Maryellis Bunn in 2016 and has since moved beyond its New York City origins to Miami, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. Splashy, brightly colored installations like the “Pop Rocks Cave” and the “Sprinkle Pool” have made the Museum of Ice Cream a social media phenomenon, pulling in more than 500,000 visitors including celebrities like Beyoncé, Katy Perry, and Kim Kardashian.
