The EVEN hotel group wants you to get healthier by the end of your stay. It is an offshoot of InterContinental Hotels, one of the world's largest hotel companies, so it has plenty of resources at its disposal to help make that happen. The hospitality group wants to take advantage of the hottest new trend in tourism: Wellness travel. For example, rather than indulge in a plateful of pancakes at a buffet, EVEN guests are encouraged to sign up for a sunrise yoga class overlooking the Hudson River. Last year, EVEN opened its first hotel in Manhattan, which boasts healthy meal options like freshly squeezed juices and black kale salads, as well as a light-filled athletic studio featuring spin and yoga classes. The guest rooms, which are designed to encourage restful sleep, feature eucalyptus fiber linens and glass-enclosed rainfall showers.
