Greencopper is a web and mobile development company that powers apps and sites for music festivals worldwide. Afropunk, Governor’s Ball, Panorama, Sziget, Pitchfork, and more rely on Greencopper’s platforms to keep audiences connected with each other and stay updated with festival alerts and announcements. The Montreal-based company designs tools to cater to festivals of any size, powering apps on the backend but also offering event APIs to allow anyone to build personalized tools, including festival schedules and in-app music streaming. In 2016 alone, more than 13 million people at 300 festivals worldwide used Greencopper, in turn generating 385 million page views and playing 20 million in-app music streams.
Greencopper is rolling out a revenue-generating opportunity in its product lineup to further help festival owners maximize their events and broaden appeal with sponsors. The GoExtra plan includes in-app advertising and targeted push notifications, as well as branded image overlays for Google Maps, festival map markers, and customizable fonts for stronger brand presence.
