Glooko brings diabetes management into the modern age, with a mobile app now used by more than 1 million people in the United States and Europe. Glooko syncs data from the most widely used diabetes devices--blood glucose meters, insulin pumps, continuous glucose monitors (CGMs)--along with information on physical activity and food intake to help diabetics better monitor and manage their glucose levels. Previously, the most common solution for consolidating all this data was a paper logbook, which was prone to error and often incomplete. Glooko creates a digital logbook, which users can easily share with healthcare providers. The ability to set daily reminders has helped users to increased blood glucose testing frequency by 34%, a key factor in reducing risk of hyperglycemia. In 2017, Glooko entered a global partnership with Novo Nordisk, which includes free distribution of Glooko to people with diabetes and a roadmap of projects that use data to deliver better diabetes care.
