In 2018, it pulled off one of the most talked-about events of the year when it flipped the 'p' in IHOP to a 'b,' flipping out the internet up to and through its reveal that IHOP was introducing a new burgers menu. In the first 10 days following the IHOb news, there were over 2.1 million social media conversations about IHOb, more than 25,000 stories, and in excess of 41 billion earned media impressions. Most notably, the stunt drove business: Burger sales increased and IHOP's same-store sales increased in the second quarter.
