Dinner Lab

The World's Most Innovative Companies 2016

Brian Bordainick founded Dinner Lab, an exclusive dining club that offered its members the chance to attend a meal cooked by an up-and-coming chef and offer their feedback, in 2012. It was held in obscure locations, like warehouses and helipads. In 2015, it expanded to Kansas City and Cleveland, bringing the total number of cities the company operated in to 15. The company also ran an online journal, Bone & Seed, that served up interviews with chefs and other food-related articles. Its private events arm gained notoriety in 2014 after hosting Solange Knowles' New Orleans wedding.

In April 2016, the Dinner Lab announced it would be ceasing operations immediately. In June, the company filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy.
