Founded by former BuzzFeed president Jon Steinberg, Cheddar is taking a big chance to court young businesspeople who are tired of older channels like CNBC. Cheddar launched in 2016 and provides a business-focused internet TV channel for cordcutters. Currently, more than 500,000 people view the channel daily, most of them millennials.

Cheddar is betting that more and more people will be turning to video, and most digital publications haven’t figured out the formula for it just yet. Cheddar inked a deal with Sling TV, making it more of a OTT powerhouse, and received an investment from Comcast in 2016.
