CBS is the most-watched broadcast network in the United States, thanks to hit shows like The Big Bang Theory and Criminal Minds, as well as NFL football games. The company was the first traditional broadcast company to launch a stand-alone streaming app, CBS All Access, which offers access to live CBS programming as well as original shows like The Good Fight and Star Trek: Discovery. The latter show, which debuted on CBS in 2017 before moving on to a weekly rollout on CBS All Access, drove a 200% increase in subscribers to the app. By launching just four to five buzzy shows a year on CBS All Access, CBS is able to grow its younger-skewing internet audience while still protecting its linear TV business. In 2018, new All Access shows will include a reboot of The Twilight Zone from Jordan Peele, and the Will Ferrell-produced comedy No Activity.
