A Fortune 500 company, Capital One offers a range of services and products, from credit cards and home loans to commercial banking and wealth management. Since 2012, the company has been investing aggressively in design. In 2017, Capital One opened a string of hip cafes, aimed at luring millennials and other young consumers who mistrust traditional banking. The same year, the company released Eno, a gender-neutral, natural-language chatbot designed to help users understand, and better manage, their finances. In 2018, Capital One released an updated version of Eno that lets users create virtual card numbers to protect their credit cards from fraud when they’re shopping online. Today, Capital One’s design team has more than 500 people.
