As part of a $2 billion brand refresh, the hotel chain launched the Best Western Virtual Reality Experience, a tool that lets potential guests visualize hotel locations' pools, lobbies, fitness centers, parking lots, and rooms. To pull off this feat, Best Western partnered with Google to collect 1.7 million photos of its 2,200 North American locations, and then utilized Street View technology to craft an engaging marketing experience. The company has also started using VR as a training tool for employees, an initiative that has improved customer relations.
