Atlassian is a developer of collaboration and productivity software mostly geared toward the enterprise market. The company is best known for Jira, a project-tracking tool that helps software teams address internal issues and evaluate performance; Confluence, a product that makes it easier for teams to work together, share projects, and communicate through both mobile and desktop devices; and HipChat, which allows workers to chat privately and in groups. In January 2017, Atlassian added another popular productivity tool to its portfolio when it acquired Trello, a team project-management app, for $425 million. The company also created another workspace communication tool, Stride, which helps teams to communicate efficiently and maximize their collective goals. Atlassian has more than 107,000 customers, 1,800 employees, over 2,000 plug-ins for developers, and it has even committed to donating 1% of its equity and profit to charity.
