Is the MBA Really Worth It? II

This weekend, while reading Max McKeown and Philip Whiteley’s book Unshrink, I came across a reference to an interesting 2001 Fortune article by Henry Mintzberg and Joseph Lampel.

In that feature, Mintzberg and Lampel share statistics indicate that chief executives who hold MBAs are no more likely to succeed than those without such credentials. The authors argue that business schools teach business functions well — but give short shrift to actual administration and leadership skills.
