Learning Online

Jane Knight, founder of the Cotswolds-based E-Learning Centre, offers a 10-point plan for implementing online learning programs in a corporate setting.

Her recommendation that online learning programs be combined with face-to-face training sessions reminds me of a conversation I had with two executives at Marriott International Inc. during last year’s Company of Friends Roadshow.

But it concerns me that so many online learning — or general training, for that matter — resources focus on the system or program more than the actual learning experience. Can any FC Now readers recommend any resources that consider how we actually learn online? Do we learn differently online than offline?
