Elon Musk fires back at Tesla employee who alleges horrible working conditions

The employee issued a scathing attack in a Medium post at Tesla over pay, mandatory overtime, and attempts to unionize at the company’s plant in Fremont, California, prompting Elon Musk to fire back at the allegations, reports Gizmodo. Musk was particularly harsh in his response to the employee’s claims that Tesla was trying to keep them from joining the United Auto Workers:

“Our understanding is that this guy was paid by the UAW to join Tesla and agitate for a union. He doesn’t really work for us, he works for the UAW . . . Frankly, I find this attack to be morally outrageous. Tesla is the last car company left in California, because costs are so high. The UAW killed NUMMI and abandoned the workers at our Fremont plant in 2010. They have no leg to stand on.”
