The National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medicine has just confirmed the health benefits of cannabis

The meta-study of over 10,000 individual cannabis trials has confirmed verifiable medicinal uses of the Schedule I narcotic including its use as a potent pain reliever, reports Engadget. Furthermore, it found no evidence that smoking cannabis causes cancer of the mouth, throat, or lungs and scant evidence that cannabis increases the likelihood of strokes and heart attacks or acts as a gateway drug.
