The chart below shows revenue from MacBook Pro sales in the first five days versus sales of other best-selling laptops since their launch. Also notable is the Slice Intelligence finding that, in the first five days of sales, the new MacBook Pro generated 78% of all the revenue generated by the MacBook 12-inch over the last year and a half.

Slice derives its results by extracting detailed information from hundreds of millions of aggregated and anonymized e-receipts, the company says.
