Facebook reportedly tried to buy a Snapchat clone

The social network offered to pay $25 million for Snow, a Snapchat-like service created by the Korean internet company Naver, according to TechCrunch. Facebook’s Snapchat envy is nothing new. It has also attempted to build its own version of Snapchat and has borrowed major features from Snapchat for Instagram, which it acquired in 2012.
