Here at Oculus’s Connect developer conference in San Jose, Mark Zuckerberg just praised the cheap and mobile Samsung Gear VR headset and the full-blown Oculus Rift experience—and then said there’s a need for an in-between approach to VR that can track your movement and hand motions without requiring a PC.

And then he said Oculus is working on such a standalone VR headset. He didn’t disclose details or timing, but did show a brief video of a prototype.
