The 24-year-old New Zealander Tom Currie left his job to embark on a two-month-long hunt around his country to capture all the Pokémon the popular game offers. As Currie told the Guardian:

“I wanted to have an adventure. I have been working for six years and I was desperate for a break. And Pokémon gave me the chance to live that dream.”
