Many people are used to plugging their MacBooks into these big beautiful things on the desktop. Apple now says it’ll make no more of them, and that when current supply runs out, that’s it. The question is what’s coming next. People have been speculating for some time now that Apple may be clearing the decks (desks?) for a new 4K, or ever 5K, monitor. There are also questions about the price of such a monitor, and what sort of connector it would use to plug into a laptop. 

I have a feeling we’ll find out this fall at Apple’s next big event.
