Solar Impulse completes historic transatlantic flight

For the first time in history a solar-powered plane has crossed the Atlantic, reports the BBC. Running on nothing but solar energy and piloted by Bertrand Piccard, Solar Impulse took off from New York on Monday and landed in Seville, Spain this morning. The aircraft will now fly on to Abu Dhabi, where it originally departed from in March 2015, where it will complete its circumnavigation of the globe.
