Ad spending on mobile is about to surpass desktop  

Mobile ad spending is poised to eclipse desktop spending by 2017, a new report from Zenith indicates.

Indeed, the banner ad is waning in popularity. Spending on traditional internet ads is supposed to decline 3.1% this year.  Meanwhile video advertising is expected to grow 20% per year between now and 2018; and social media advertising is projected to grow nearly 24% per year over the same time period. RR
