Uber is aiming to overtake Didi as the largest ride-sharer in China by next year

The ambitious goal was revealed by Uber China’s senior vice president of strategy Liu Zhen, the Wall Street Journal reports. Liu noted that last year Uber only had a 1% market share in the country but now controls over a third of the market. With more Internet users and the largest population in the world, Liu said that China is “absolutely” Uber’s most important market in the world now.
