The average doctor spends 10% of their time dealing with lawsuits

Doctors in the U.S. spend a huge amount of time and effort fighting malpractice lawsuits. An analysis by the RAND Corporation, which investigated the claims database of medical malpractice insurer The Doctors Company, found that it’s more than 10% of their workdays. For neurosurgeons, it’s about 25%—that’s a quarter of their time, not to mention all the stress!

That’s a hell of a lot of time that doctors aren’t spending with their patients. CF
