New York bank regulator probes Goldman Sachs, others after Panama Papers

New York State’s Department of Financial Services has asked banks including Goldman Sachs, BNP Paribas and Standard Chartered for information about their dealings with Panamanian law firm Mossack Fonseca and the shell companies it set up, Bloomberg reports.

The regulator learned the banks had dealings with the firm after searching news reports and databases connected to the Panama Papers leak.SM
