Mysterious Air Force space plane approaches 1 year in orbit

The Air Force’s X-37B space plane, which looks a bit like a miniature space shuttle, is about to mark a year spent in orbit, Space.com reports.

But exactly what the unmanned, solar-powered aircraft is doing, along with when and where it may land, remains a (classified) mystery. In its past three missions, it’s ultimately touched down at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California, according to Space.com.SM
