Coffee & doughnuts: Keurig owners buy Krispy Kreme for $1.35 billion

Doughnut chain Krispy Kreme has been bought by the Reimann family’s investment arm JAB Holding Company, which owns and invests in a lot of coffee (it recently bought Keurig Green Mountain and owns controlling stakes in Caribou Coffee).

The purchase price? $1.35 billion—or roughly 1.35 billion hot, glazed donuts. Yum.
