Cupertino mayor to Apple: Please pay more tax

The mayor of Cupertino, the California home of Apple, wants to see the company pay more in tax to support city infrastructure, The Guardian reports.

“They’re making profit, and they should share the responsibility for our city, but they won’t,” Mayor Barry Chang told the newspaper. He’s working on plans for an employer tax that would charge companies with more than 100 workers $1,000 per head.SM
