Alphabet to test self-driving Chrysler minivans

Google parent Alphabet is buying 100 custom Chrysler Pacifica minivans that it plans to outfit with self-driving technology, the Wall Street Journal reports.

The minivans, from a make marketed by Chrysler as a “family vehicle,” will be customized to allow for easy installation of Alphabet’s autonomous driving infrastructure. For now, they’ll just be for testing, not for sale to consumers, according to the Journal.
