79% of Facebook’s Q1 2016 revenue came from mobile ads

“Facebook and Instagram are the two most important mobile ad platforms out there,” Sheryl Sandberg said during the company’s quarterly earnings report.  And the numbers reflect that: Of Facebook’s $5.38 billion in quarterly revenue, $5.2 billion stemmed from advertising—which means mobile ads raked in about $4.26 billion.
